TOGETHER we can protect Warwickshire

We now have 200 fewer police officers because of cuts.

Last year, crime increased across Warwickshire.

I will cut crime, not Warwickshire police.

More police

In my first 100 days I will begin recruiting more police officers.

I will run the Commissioner’s office for less than the outgoing Police Authority. The money saved will go towards more officers.

So there will be fewer politicians and more police officers.

Less crime

Crime in Warwickshire rose last year—burglary by 13%. We need to change course.

As a community working together we can cut crime.

I will introduce a 5-year crime reduction plan, based on your local priorities.

Safer communities

With 100 more officers, 200 more Special Constables and more PCSO's in higher crime areas, I’ll work for safer communities across Warwickshire.

Fair funding

Warwickshire ranks 36th out of 43 policing areas for government funding.

If we had the average funding for a shire county, we would have up to an extra £15 million to support local policing.

I will fight for fair funding for Warwickshire.

Swifter justice

I want to see our police more effective in detecting crime; and then I want to see our criminal justice system more effective in dealing with criminals.

I will work with the courts and prosecution authorities to ensure that the guilty do not escape justice, and that we apply appropriate penalties.

Value for money

Savings can come from administration, fewer local politicians, and from developing force collaboration with West Mercia. Money can then be switched to support more officers.

I will oppose government plans to privatise policing. I will ensure that if you call the police, you get the police.
